A Performance Machine or Rolands Sands Design wheel begins life as a raw aluminum ingot. Using high pressure and temperature, the non-directional grain of aluminum is changed to a high integrity, multidirectional grain structure of a forging. The aluminum remains solid throughout the process as the forging dies come together and change the shape of the wheel. The resulting radial grain direction places the highest material strength in the same direction as the operating loads. The complete forging is CNC Lathe turned, then placed on a CNC mill and sculpted into one of many patterns. PM's finishing department hand polishes each wheel to a mirror like shine or applies a high quality show chrome finish. A limited number of wheel designs is available in Contrast Cut anodized black with raw machined contrasts, or in Contrast Cut "Platinum" finish where the contrasts are polished in the best PM tradition. A very limited number of designs is available in Black OPS finish, Roland Sands' top-secret proprietary two-tone black finish.

Wheels with the "IN STOCK" logo' are available from stock in most sizes and for most applications.

Note: Due to the variety of PM wheels (over 4.500 models and applications!) these wheels are build upon order. Allow 8 weeks for building and shipping.

Note: 6", 7", 8 1/2", 10" and 10 1/2" wide wheels require the use of 2 1/2" inner diameter disc brake rotor, sprocket and/or drive pulley. All other wheels take stock style discs, pulleys and/or sprockets, the exception are wheels for V-Rod and selected Dyna models, which are available in your choice of ready to take OEM discs, or ready to take PM discs.

Note: Models with the TPMS (Tire Pressure Monitorung System) require the separate purchase of a TPSM Sensor bracket assembly that allows the stock TPMS sensor to be mounted to the existing valve stem inside the Performance Machine wheel.
