The AMM-L1 Precision Lambda Regulator on a carburetor equipped engine allows you to achieve equal or even superior exhaust emission values compared to an Electronic Fuel Injection system. This gives all the advantages of an easy to tune carburetor without the need to use a computer.
The AMM-L1 Lambda Regulator can be used with any carbureted engine. You can use heated or unheated oxygen (Lambda) Sensors of different manufacturers, like the NGK/NTK single wire EGO sensor. All the miniaturized electronics of the AMM-L1 is integrated into the stepper motor, so that it is not necessary to install a separate black box and associated wiring. The complete AMM-L1 assembly is protected against moisture and humidity and has reverse polarity protection. If you need low idle speed, an optional idle switch is included with a green LED. Also included is a threaded fitting and 3 pipe fittings (to accommodate different size engines). All fittings are standard pneumatic G1/4a thread. The Lambda Sensor is not included in the package. You also need a couple of rubber hoses and wires. For some installations a G1/4a thread tapper is required.
Note: Installation requires knowledge of the engine and carburetor. Also electrical and mechanical skills and an understanding of the basics of combustion, air/fuel mixture and Lambda regulation are required. The AMM-L1 has been tested successfully, but it does not include general approval documents. It is still mandatory to pass E-3 tests individually at your local inspecting authorities, since the conformity of the whole vehicle must be approved. This is because the AMM-L1 works differently on each vehicle, according to individual carburetor adjustment.
